NFT's New Development Manager Volunteers Time For The Arts And Local Communities

By:

Noble Fool Theatricals Development Manager Scott Piner was recently selected as a member of Business Volunteers for the Arts (Chicago, IL) and the Rotary Club (St. Charles).

In just three months, Piner has played a contributing role in creating awareness for Noble Fool Theatricals and their nonprofit programs. He began serving Noble Fool Theatricals in February 2010 as the Development Manager charged with the task of developing the areas of fundraising through grants, sponsorships, special events, and individual contributions. Previously, Scott served as the Director of Youth Programs for Apple Tree Theatre in Highland Park. Piner has over five years of nonprofit managerial experience and is an MBA student at Lake Forest Graduate School of Management.

"I am excited to give back to the community through the Rotary and help arts organizations through the BVA," says Piner. "I am encouraged by the professionalism of both organizations. I believe that the experience I will gain from both organizations will help shape me into a better person and a more knowledgeable worker which will hopefully make me a stronger asset for Noble Fool Theatricals."

Rotary International is the world's first service club organization, with more than 1.2 million members in 33,000 clubs worldwide. Rotary club members are volunteers who work locally, regionally, and internationally to combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, provide education and job training, promote peace, and eradicate polio under the motto Service Above Self.

Business Volunteers for the Arts (BVA) is a program through the Arts & Business Council of Chicago. The BVA service recruits, trains and assigns experienced business professionals to serve pro bono on consulting projects for small-to-medium sized nonprofit arts organizations throughout the Chicago metropolitan area. Interested Arts Organizations can apply to be considered.
