'Literally Sexy' at the Biograph Theater

By:

Spring is here, and libidos are hatching.  Forget the oysters, try a late night variety show focused on all things sex-Literally Sexy - burlesque, drag, bondage, erotica, comedy - all in one hot night Friday, April 11th at 10:30 pm, at the Victory Gardens Biograph Theater, 2433 N. Lincoln Avenue, Chicago.

This alluring evening includes a variety of Chicago's freshest performing artists such as GayCo Productions, The Neo-Futurists, The Flaming Dames, 2nd Story, Arlene Malinowski, and Time Out Chicago's sex columnist Dr. Debby Herbenick. The evening, hosted by Chicago's own femme fatale, David Cerda (of Hell in a Handbag Productions) will be flowing with cocktails, music, and wine samples from Naked Winery. Plus, shop the arousing wares of G Boutique.

The mood will be set the moment you walk into the Biograph. Music and burlesque dancers will liven up the lobby as you browse for lingerie and accessories from G Boutique. Naked Winery will be on hand with samples and selling glasses of their most popular labels, 'Penetration', 'Vixen', and 'Missionary'. $2 Pabst Blue Ribbons will be served along with a full bar.

The night will begin in the Biograph mainstage with host David Cerda as your favorite Madame. The fast-paced show will transition between hysterical, yet clever sketch comedy, to sensual personal stories, salacious yet teasing dances, and titillating plays to make you quiver. Sexy yes, but never taking itself too seriously. After all, sex can be hot and funny.

So don't miss this provocative, sensual, smart, funny late-night sexy show. Tickets are $15. For tickets and information, call the Victory
Gardens box office - 773.871.3000 - or buy tickets online at victorygardens.org.

More about the stars of Literally Sexy:

The Flaming Dames, Chicago's first rock & roll burlesque troupe, has been 'titillating' Chicago audiences for five years. They revel in the art of teasing til you can't take it anymore, and rockin' you with rock & roll.  A few of the Dames on tap are Hot Cinder, Aqua Nettie, and Sista Stiletto.

Born at the renowned The Second City, GayCo Productions will perform social and political sketch comedy poking fun at sex. GayCo advances the gay agenda through hilarious, intelligent sketch comedy where gay is the given, not the punch line.

Chicago's famed Neo-Futurists will bring their most sexually provocative plays from Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind.  Since TML opened they have produced more than 6,000 two-minute plays for TML.

A few lustful stories by Chicago's acclaimed storytelling and writing ensemble, 2nd Story, will ignite your fire. 2nd Story is a hybrid
performance event combining storytelling, wine, and music that is produced by the Serendipity Theatre Collective, monthly at Webster's Wine Bar.

Acclaimed solo performer Arlene Malinowski will get bawdy as she delves into women's erotica and bodice ripping at the Biograph.

Host David Cerda is the Artistic Director of Hell in a Handbag Productions and founder of The Joans, a band dedicated to giving Joan Crawford a rock and roll voice. He will be the seductive MC of the night.

Time Out Chicago's own sex columnist, Dr. Debby Herbenick, will get intimate with the boys and girls of Literally Sexy.

The Victory Gardens Biograph Theater is located 1/2 block north of Fullerton in the heart of Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood.  Discounted parking is available one block south at Children's Memorial Hospital, and Lincoln Park Hospital two blocks south on
