Featuring A-list actors like Denzel Washington, Samuel L. Jackson and Phylicia Rashad, "The Start of Dreams" is the story of award-winning director Kenny Leon bringing aspiring teenage actors to a Broadway stage in an intense August Wilson monologue competition.

In a time when arts education is considered expendable because of a declining economy, Kenny Leon is determined to use his celebrity and influence to expose students from across the country to the wonderful world of theater.

"The Start of Dreams"is packed with Hollywood's elite weighing in on this important art form and what it means to humanity.

Also appearing, Viola Davis, Jasmine Guy, Anthony Mackie, Doris Kearns Goodwin, Ruben Santiago-Hudson.

Executive producer Jennifer Gordon Thompson along with producer/directors The Horne Brothers is now touring festivals with this award-winning documentary.

First Screening: Monday, Feb. 13, 2012, 1:00 p.m.

Second Screening: Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012, 12:00 p.m.
The screening will be followed by a brief program featuring the filmmakers, Senator Curren D. Price, Jr., 26th Senate District, and Kenny Leon and friends.
