The Carolina Actors Studio Theatre Announces Auditions

The Carolina Actors Studio Theatre (CAST) announces its 2012 – 2013 Season Auditions.

Auditions will take place at CAST, 2424 N. Davidson Street - Suite 113 B, Charlotte, NC 28205 on Saturday July 14th beginning at 10:00AM. To avoid a cattle call actors should make an appointment and schedule their time slot by calling 704-455-8542 or emailing patroncare@nccast.com.

Actors should bring hard copies of resumes and headshots and prepare a monolugue / song under 2 minutes. Actors should visit the CAST Website, www.nccast and be familiar with Character Breakdowns and Audition Philosphy posted there. Actors should be familiar with the shows CAST is producing and we welcome actors who know what specific roles they desire – it is okay to use selections from the shows on the season schedule both Mainstage and Second Stage Series.

All roles are compensated via stipends. CAST is not an Equity House.

CAST produces a wide range of eclectic work and is looking for actors of all ages and nationalities – several of the selections in the 2012-2013 season focus on actors of African American, Indian, Middle Eastern, and Latino descent. BE FAMILIAR WITH THE WORK.
