Deep Dish Theater invites you to travel in time with its upcoming 11th Season, opening August 26th.

"The theater has a unique ability to transform events from the past, present and future into ‘Here and Now,'" said Founding Artistic Director Paul Frellick. "This season we'll be exploring that transformation from every direction, in hopes of deepening our understanding of those other eras as well as our own."

The 2011-12 Season opens with Amy Herzog's After the Revolution, a recent off-Broadway hit about one family's spent time and the legacy they leave, before journeying back to the Middle Ages in Edward Kemp's adaptation of Gottholt Lessing's Nathan the Wise. Audiences can then jump into the present as Deep Dish debuts a Workshop production of a brand new play, and follow up with a trek back one hundred years ago, across a frozen wasteland in Ted Tally's Terra Nova. Wrapping up the adventurous season is a peek into a funny future with Henceforward... by Alan Ayckbourn.
