Charlotte Contemporary Ensemble to Hold Auditions for Singers, 8/16 & 8/23
Charlotte Contemporary Ensemble, a choral performing group, is celebrating more than 30 years of musical excellence and is looking to add additional singers. CCE is looking for people who enjoy learning music from a vast repertoire of genres and styles; classical, sacred, spirituals, broadway, jazz, contemporary, including music by African-American composers and arrangers. Interested parties should be able to learn music and attend weekly rehearsals every Monday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.
CCE invites everyone to schedule an audition on August 16 or 23, 2010 at Mayfield Memorial Missionary Baptist Church, 700 W. Sugar Creek Rd, Charlotte, NC. All voice parts are welcomed, but tenors and basses are needed. The ability to sight-read music is a plus, but is not required.
