Carolina Actors Studio Holds Auditions for STEAMBATH, 7/17

The Carolina Actors Studio Theatre is holding auditions for STEAMBATH. Character breakdown is pasted below. CAST will be "fast tracking" all productions this year in an effort to maintain the high level of work it has produced.

STEAMBATH auditions are this Saturday, July 17th at 1:00 PM BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Actors must read script (AVAILABLE VIA EMAIL) and be familiar with role(s) they are most passionate about.

STEAMBATH CHARACTER BREAKDOWN

TANDY: Male, 35. A former Arts Appreciation Instructor who choked on a stack on Won Shih pancakes. He laments his lost life and sincere contributions to humanity - like taking his 10 daughter to Vegas so they could bond.

MEREDITH: Female, 21-35. Death by bludgeoning. What she will miss most about life is shopping and Mounds Bars! Brief Nudity.

ATTENDANT (GOD!): A Puerto Rican Steambath attendant - he is very busy - he has to control all the good and bad things that happen in the world!

OLD TIMER: CAST

BIEBERMAN: CAST

STOCK BROKER: Male, 35-50. He hung himself with a jump rope when his stock went into the toilet - just as he had finally reached his perfect weight!

GOTTLIEB: Male. God's witty assistant!

YOUNG MAN / 1 YOUNG MAN 2: Both Gay they committed suicide after falling in love with the man - a young Dancer in Zorba the Greek. They always speak in unison and have a surprise for God.

LONGSHOREMAN: Rough and touch he appears in one of God's campfire dramas ... "It's therapeutic!"

DANCING GIRL: Female, 18 - 32. A confidant of Beiberman's she also appears in God's campfire dramas - a reenactment of Beiberman's past.

DETECTIVE FLANDERS: Male, 35-55. The Peter Gunn of his day!
