CPCC Summer Theatre To End 2011 Season With HAIRSPRAY 7/17-21

CPCC Summer Theatre to perform Tony Award-winning "Hairspray" July 15-23 Troupe ends 2011 season with Tony Award-winning musical

WHAT: CPCC Summer Theatre, Charlotte's only professional summer stock theatre, will wrap up its 2011 season with the Tony Award-winning musical "Hairspray."

Set in 1962, the story follows plus-size teenager Tracy Turnblad, whose dream is to dance on a local TV dance program. After landing a prized spot on "The Corny Collins Show," Tracy quickly finds herself transformed from outsider to teen celebrity. Audiences of all ages will be entertained as Tracy tries to vanquish the program's reigning princess, integrate the television show and find true love without mussing her hair!
This production will star Sara Reinecke as Tracy Turnblad, Beau Stroup as Edna Turnblad, Glen North as Link Larkin and Josh Conrad as Corny Collins. "Hairspray" is a high-energy dance and music extravaganza that you won't want to miss. Reserve your seat today!
