Blumenthal Performing Arts Announces 2011-2012 Duke Energy B'Way Lights Series

Broadway's best new shows will be on stage in Charlotte next season in the 2011-12 Duke Energy Broadway Lights Series. The 2010 Tony Award® winners for Best Musical and Best Revival join five other hot, new hits and a return of the blockbuster JERSEY BOYS on the season. Presented by Blumenthal Performing Arts, the 2011-12 Duke Energy Broadway Lights Series will include 2010 Tony Award® winner for Best Musical MEMPHIS; magnificently macabre smash-hit musical comedy THE ADDAMS FAMILY; the powerful revival of critical favorite WEST SIDE STORY; the red-hot rock n' roll of Million Dollar Quartet; last year's sellout JERSEY BOYS; the brand new original musical comedy BRING IT ON: THE MUSICAL created by Broadway's hottest young creatives; Twyla Tharp's captivating Sinatra celebration COME FLY AWAY and the Tony Award®-winning revival of LA CAGE AUX FOLLES.

The all-star lineup has been nominated for 38 Tony Awards® and won 13 trophies between them.
