York Little Theatre to Present GREASE, Begin. 9/19
GREASE is the word at York Little Theatre (YLT) September 19-21, 26-28 and October 3-5. YLT'S GREASE is ready to rock its way onto the main stage to start the theatre's 82nd season with a cast and crew of over 35, a two story set with a full size Greased Lightning car, special permission and rights to add the movie songs that are not normally performed in the stage version, and heart thumping choreography. Get ready to hand jive and rock in your seats with favorites including GREASE IS THE WORD, WE GO TOGETHER, HOPELESSLY DEVOTED TO YOU, and YOU'RE THE ONE THAT I WANT to name a few. Jordan Smith-Kingston, the reigning York County Distinguished Young Woman, portrays the wholesome Sandy Dumbrowski and Patrick Douglas is the rebellious Danny Zuko.
Rene Staub is the director, Ashley Zimmerman is the Choreographer and Jacquie Smith is the Music Director for this spectacular musical event. Susan Taylor is the hairstylist/makeup artist who did preliminary hair and makeup tests when 50's style yearbook photos were taken of everyone last week to display in the lobby during the show.
Join YLT September 19-21, 26-28 and October 3-5 to take a trip down memory lane and rock your socks off! Sunday's shows start at 3pm. All other shows are at 7:30 p.m. Save $2 off the regular ticket price by purchasing tickets prior to opening night! Get ready for a full 50's experience as the preshow and intermission will be filled with music from the era, vintage commercials and movie trailers that will take you back to the days of sock hops, hula hoops and drive-ins.
