York Little Theatre's AND THEN THERE WERE NONE Begins Tonight

By:

York Little Theatre will present Agatha Christie's superlative mystery "And Then There Were None" in the studio tonight, January 17-19 and January 23-26, 2014. Performances are held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday's and Saturdays and 3pm on Sundays. Patrons can save $2 off regular admission price if they purchase tickets prior to opening night. Go to ylt.org or call 854-5715 for advance tickets.

Directed by Ken Bruggeman, the play will be quite the theatrical experience in the cozy surround setting of York Little Theatre's Studio as the audience will feel like they are part of the action. The play is about ten guilty strangers trapped on an island. One by one they are accused of murder; one by one they start to die. In this mystery comedy, statuettes of little soldier boys on the mantel of a house on an island off the coast of Devon fall to the floor and break one by one as those in the house succumb to a diabolical avenger. A nursery rhyme tells how each of the ten "soldiers" met his death until there were none. Eight guests who have never met each other or their apparently absent host and hostess are lured to the island and, along with the two house servants, marooned. A mysterious voice accuses each of having gotten away with murder and then one drops dead - poisoned. One down and nine to go!

The cast includes Jeff Sneeringer as Rogers, Claudia Shanaman as Mrs Rogers, Bob Haag as Sir Lawrence Wargrave, Joel Persing as General MacKenzie, Mike McGuinness as Anthony Marston, Rebecca Schrom as Vera Claythorne, Andrew D'Agenais as Fred Narracott, Rick Osborn as William Blore, Ryan Szwajaas as Philip Lombard, Jaci Keagy as Emily Brent and David Kloser as Dr. Armstrong.

AND THEN THERE WERE NONE runs in the York Little Theatre Studio January 17-19 and 23-26. Thursday, Fridays and Saturdays shows are at 7:30pm. Sunday shows are at 3pm. Go to www.ylt.org or call 717-854-5715 for tickets and more information. Tickets will be available at the door one hour before the performance, if available.
