The Board of Directors and Artistic Director, David Leidholdt, have announced the Teen Performing Arts Academy's inaugural production of Legally Blonde Jr. on the Ryan Mainstage.

Are you psyched or what? Harvard's beloved blonde, Elle Woods, takes the stage by glittery pink storm in this fun and upbeat musical.

When Elle's boyfriend Warner dumps her and heads to Harvard, claiming she's not "serious" enough, Elle stays positive and takes matters into her own hands, crafting a showy song-and-dance personal essay and charming her way into law school. Befriending classmate Emmett and spunky hairdresser Paulette along the way, Elle finds that books and looks aren't mutually exclusive - in fact, law may be her natural calling after all as she quickly begins outsmarting her peers.

Follow Elle Woods, as she learns how to conquer stereotypes, be true to herself, stand up for what she believes, and show everyone what it really means to be Legally Blonde.

Based on the novel by Amanda Brown and the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Motion Picture, Book by Heather Hach, Music and Lyrics by Laurence O'Keefe and Nell Benjamin, Directed and Choreographed by Matt Spencer, Music Directed by Justin Adams, Set Design by John Rohr and Kelli Harrod, Costume Design by Michael Blatzer, Lighting Design by Ethan Vail, Props Design and Assistant Choreographed by Timmy Gage, Sound Design by Simon Ghezzi, and Assistant Director Brooke Reese.

The cast includes Aimee Hunsinger as Elle, Izyah Gerlach as Emmet, Alexis Haigh as Paulette, Gabrielle Weaver as Vivienne, Izzy Hogg as Brooke Windum, Abby Greevy as Serena, Elizabeth Shaffer as Margo, Olivia Hannah as Pilar, McKenzie Gray as Kate, Hailey Bower as Professor Challahan, Colby Stoner as Warner, Katelynn Owens as Erin Schultz, Jozelyn Charles as Gaelen, Allison Panczyszyn as Grandmaster Chad, Sydney Glossner as Kiki, Kaylee Murno as Chutney and Josh Kreitz as Kyle.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $7 for students and $5 for children. Legally Blonde Jr. runs, August 7 at 7:30pm and August 8 at 3:00pm. You can purchase tickets by calling 570-748-8083, online at www.millbrookplayhouse.org.
