Players Club Of Swarthmore To Hold Season Kick-Off Event, 9/9

The Players Club of Swarthmore (PCS) welcomes the community to its 2017-18 season with a lively kick-off party on September 9, from 6:30 to 11 p.m. at The Players Club of Swarthmore, 614 Fairview Rd, Swarthmore. The event features a multitude of free entertainment including live performances, plus a live auction, silent auction, a wine wall, raffles, and more. Attendees will enjoy complimentary refreshments throughout the evening. Tickets are $25 online; $30 at the door. Student prices are $15 online; $20 at the door. Buy tickets at www.pcstheater.org. All funds raised from the kick-off event will be used to renovate The Players Club facilities.

The evening will feature a cabaret on the Main Stage, showcasing area vocalists from Young People's Theatre Workshop and Players Club of Swarthmore.

More than $10,000 in prizes have been donated for the silent and live auction including sports tickets, vacation houses, hotel stays, restaurant gift cards, and tickets to museums and theatres in the Philadelphia area.

The Players Club of Swarthmore's 2017-18 season opens September 15 with Chicago, and features six other Main Stage productions including Other Desert Cities, Disney's Little Mermaid, Italian American Reconciliation, Little Shop of Horrors, The Member of the Wedding, and Jesus Christ Superstar. Second Stage productions include The Great Wilderness, Trevor and Dog Sees God. Children's Series shows include Captain Louie, Really Rosie, Tillie the Trickster, and Alice in Wonderland. Also, PCS is collaborating with Big Daddy Graham for A Row Home Christmas Dec 20-31. The Players Club's Main Stage space is a fully handicapped-accessible, 300-seat proscenium theater with plenty of free parking in the club's adjacent lot. The Main Stage is equipped with Assisted Listening devices and offers a separate handicapped restroom facility.
