Set in 19th century England, this is the tale of Benjamin Barker, aka Sweeney Todd, who returns to London after 15 years of exile and imprisonment. He vows revenge, first on the judge who sentenced him, and later on the whole world. Joining forces with pie-maker Mrs. Lovett, he opens a barbershop in which he slits the throats of customers and has them baked into meat pies. The winner of eight Tony Awards on Broadway, the recent popular film adaptation starred Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter.

Theatre Harrisburg's production of SWEENEY TODD stars Anthony Leukus, Rebecca Mease, Andrew Vinton, Elizabeth Colpo, David Zayas, Bryce Evans, Anthony Barber, Diane Bateman, Colin York and Kerry Mowery. Members of the ensemble include James Dietsche, Cheri Fisher, Joseph Gargiulo, Dawn Lewis, Shannon Luciani, Douglas Macut, Jill Miller, Jessica Nupponen, Brandon Rexrode, Kate Roksandic, Manuela Saxman, M. Schreiber, Tegan Smith, Cynthia Von Schlichten, Cori Vinton, Joel Sattazahn and Elizabeth Vinarski. Music director and conductor of the full 18-piece pit orchestra is Richard Fowler.
