Oyster Mill Playhouse to Present BUS STOP

By: May. 03, 2015

Oyster Mill Playhouse in Camp Hill is proud to present the drama, Bus Stop. It opens Friday, May 22 and runs three weekends through Sunday, June 7. Curtain is 8 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays; 2 p.m. on Sundays. Tickets are $16.00 and they can be purchased by calling the box office at (717)-737-6768 or through the website, www.oystermill.com. Students tickets are $10 with ID and can only be purchased at the box office.

Bus Stop takes place in the middle of a howling snowstorm with a bus out of Kansas City pulling up at a cheerful roadside diner. All roads are blocked, and four or five weary travelers are going to have to hole up until morning. Cherie, a nightclub chanteuse, has been pursued, made love to and finally kidnapped by a twenty-one-year-old cowboy. As a counterpoint to the main romance, the proprietor of the cafe and the bus driver at last find time to develop a friendship of their own.

Bus Stop is written by William Inge and produced with special arrangement by Dramatists Play Services, Inc.
