Open Stage Announces Acting Classes for Adults
By: Kelsey Denette
The Open Stage of Harrisburg Studio/School has begun registration for its Winter classes in acting and theatre for adults. Classes are held in street level of the Walnut Street Parking Garage.
Weekly adult acting classes include Acting Technique, based on the famous Sanford Meisner approach to actor training. For beginning and experienced actors, the Technique class will be held Monday, January 17 through March 4 from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. This class is also appropriate for adults who must interact before and with the public, including attorneys, public relations professionals, public speakers, politicians, and physicians.
Scene Study and Studio Workshop classes for adults who have completed Acting Technique will be held Tuesdays, January 15 through March 5, from 6:30-8:30. These classes will culminate in two performances March 7-8, 2013. Tuition for each class is $275, or $225 if paid in full one week before the start of class. Both adult classes are taught by Studio/School director Anne Alsedek.
