Millbrook Playhouse Extends THE MARVELOUS WONDERETTES

The Board of Directors and Artistic Director, David Leidholdt, are pleased to announce the final production of the season, The Marvelous Wonderettes, in the Poorman Cabaret.

You now have four more chances to catch this cotton-candy colored, nonstop pop musical blast from the past! Featuring your favorite songs from the '50s and '60s, The Marvelous Wonderettes takes you to the 1958 Springfield High School Prom where we meet The Wonderettes - Betty Jean, Cindy Lou, Missy and Suzy, four girls with hopes and dreams as big as their crinoline skirts, and voices to match! Watch as these four friends compete for Prom Queen and learn each other's hidden truths. That's just Act 1!

Act 2 fast forwards to their 10th year class reunion in 1968 where everything changes; pregnancy, divorce, and death shakes their lives and changes them for the better. See as these four high school friends learn how to have each other's backs and the true meaning of friendship.

You've never had this much fun and you will never forget The Marvelous Wonderettes as they take a musical trip down memory lane!

Performing classic 50's & 60's hits such as "Lollipop," "Dream Lover," "Stupid Cupid," "Lipstick on Your Collar," "Rescue Me," "It's My Party," and over 20 additional hits!

Written & Created by Roger Bean, Musical Arrangements by Brian William Baker, Orchestrations by Michael Borth, Vocal Arrangements by Roger Bean & Brian William Baker Directed and Choreographed by Dax Valdes, Music Directed by Martena Rodgers, Set and Props Design by Denise Lalevee, Costume Design by Michael Blatzer, Lighting Design by Ethan Vail, and Sound Design by Simon Ghezzi.

The cast includes Samantha Carroll as Missy, Katrina Diehm as Suzy, Kate Keating as Cindy Lou and Shannon Agnew as Betty Jean.

Tickets are $25 for adults, $15 for students and $10 for children. The Marvelous Wonderettes runs Friday, August 14 and runs till August 28. Opens Friday, August 14 through Sunday, August 16 at 7:30. Wednesday, August 19 through Sunday, August 23, at 7:30pm - Matinee August 19 at 2:00pm. Added performances are Tuesday, August 25 through Friday, August 28 at 7:30. Group rates are available.
