Hershey Lights Its Holiday Tree December 1

The Downtown Hershey Association invites the community to Downtown Hershey's Annual Holiday Celebration on Friday, December 1, 2017, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in ChocolateTown Square.

Santa will arrive via a Hershey Volunteer Fire Company truck just after 6:00 p.m. and greet children at the event. Kids can also pose with some favorite Hershey product characters, all decked out for the holidays. The holiday celebration features a musical performance by Hershey High School's Chocapella, the Vintage Brass Quintet, Milton Hershey School's New Horizons, a community sing-along, cookies, cocoa, and an ornament-making activity for children. Kids can also "mail" letters to Santa in a special mailbox that will be in the park throughout the holiday season.

"The tree lighting and holiday celebration continues a long-standing tradition in our community, having been an annual event in Hershey since 1915" said Pam Whitenack of the Downtown Hershey Association. "It's great to get together with friends and neighbors as we kick off the holiday season - and we love seeing the kids' faces light up when Santa arrives!" she added.

The event is free of charge and open to the public.

The event is sponsored in part by The Hershey Company and Karns Foods. The most up-to-date information can be found at DowntownHershey.com.
