Dutch Apple Announces Ticket Discount With Toys for Tots Donation

The Dutch Apple is swingin' into the holidays with an all new Christmas show, A Swingin' Christmas opening November 15. A Swingin' Christmas is a vivacious show full of all the favorite classic Christmas songs such as Baby Its Cold OutsideThe Christmas SongHere Comes Santa ClausAway in a Manger and Oh Holy Night. This show even throws in a few twists with Swingin' Nutcracker

Dutch Apple is also collecting toys for the Toys For Tots drive and the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve will then distribute the donated toys to children throughout Lancaster County. Anyone who brings a toy to be donated to the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve's Toys for Tots drive will receive a coupon for dinner and show to see the The Rat Pack Lounge in January for only $39. The collection runs through November 29, 2012.

Paul Glodfelter, a native Pennsylvanian, will play Santa Claus. Most recently, Paul played Pastor Gunderson in A Second Helping The Church Basement Ladies Sequel at the Dutch Apple. Paul studied music and theatre at Bloomsburg University and some of his recent roles include The Most Happy FellaAmadeus, To Kill a Mockingbird and the King inBig River.

Shannon Connolly will portray Mrs. Claus. She was just recently seen in A Second Helping The Church Basement Ladies Sequel as the strong farm wife, Mavis. Her previous theatre credits include Cinderella as Portia with Kansas City Starlight Theatre, Ethel Tofflemier in The Music Man, Vicki Nichols in The Full Monty, Penny Wise in Urinetown and Suzannah in Hair.

Pauline Cobrda makes her return to the Dutch Apple after recently portraying the snappy secretary Martha in Irving Berlin's White Christmas and audiences loved her in the role of Mother Superior in Nunsense. She has also appeared in the Broadway Palm's production of Damn Yankees. She has recently added Barefoot in the Park and Church Basement Ladies to her credits.

Drew Stark returns to the Dutch Apple after recently playing the cute UPS delivery man in Legally Blonde, the Musical. Originally from Mississippi, he received his Bachelor of Arts from the College of William and Mary. His recent Prather Entertainment Group credits include SwingJoseph and the Amazing Technicolor DreamcoatSeven Brides for Seven BrothersThe Best Little Whorehouse in TexasCATS and 42nd Street.

A Swingin' Christmas at Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre runs from November 15 through December 23, 2012. Performances are Tuesday through Saturday evenings with selected Matinees and Sunday Twilights. Ticket prices for dinner and show tickets are $48 - $54; limited show only seats are $28; students ages 13-18 are just $22  and children ages 3 -12 are $18 for dinner and show. Group tickets are available for parties of 16 or more.
