Typecasting and a theatre career drove her to insanity. She exchanged stage wings for padded walls, glamorous costumes for a white nightgown, adoring audiences for a bunch of inmates. Yet, she will sing!

A madwoman proudly recounts the roles and songs which made her who she is today, celebrating that fine line between creativity and madness.

Mad Women in My Attic! is the cabaret brainchild of Monica Salvi, an Italian actress and singer based in London, UK. For one night only on October 7th, 2017, Miss Monica Salvi will bring her "one-madwoman-show" to New York, as part of the United Solo Festival at Theatre Row, on 42nd Street. Miss Salvi will lead you in a musical group therapy, aided by the melodies of Stephen Sondheim, Kurt Weill, Kander & Ebb, Maury Yeston, Tom Lehrer, Heisler & Goldrich.

The show has been directed by Clare McKenna, who's skilfully put some reason into Monica's madness, and will be musically directed and accompanied by Michael Ferreri - already a favorite of the NY’s cabaret scene. 2017
