Steven Clair and The Pushbacks to Celebrate Album Release at Bridge Street Theatre
Come celebrate the release of new music from Stephen Clair and The Pushbacks when Catskill's intimate Bridge Street Theatre hosts an album release show for the band at 7:30pm Saturday, November 18.
Clair is a singer and songwriter who wears his wry New York roots and his Americana heart on his sleeve. An esteemed guitar player, he's honed his personable and entertaining performance skills on the road headlining clubs and opening tours for the likes of Robert Earl Keen and James McMurtry. With a Ray Davies-like vocal delivery and mountains of songwriting credits, Clair's gritty and provocative tunes are kicked into high gear by the stirring and muscular chops of The Pushbacks, his mighty backing band, consisting of Hudson Valley locals Brad Hubbard (baritone sax), J Why (drums and vocals), Jay Nicholas (bass), and Sarah Terrell (keyboards and vocals).
Stephen Clair is also renowned in his hometown of Beacon, NY, as the driving force behind concerts of all sizes as well as for founding the Beacon Music Factory, which teaches music to as many adults as it does kids. These endeavors, time-consuming as they are, don't stand in the way of Clair's own music-making. And his current five-piece band adds significant spice to his catalog of songs, lifting his music - both old and new - to the rafters.
You'll definitely want to join Stephen Clair and The Pushbacks as they blow the roof off the Bridge Street Theatre for one night only, Saturday November 18th at 7:30pm. The theatre is located at 44 West Bridge Street in Catskill, NY. Tickets are $20, $10 for patrons age 21 and under, and can be pre-purchased online at BrownPaperTickets.com or by calling 800-838-3006. Tickets can also be purchased at the door one half hour prior to the performance, subject to availability. For more information, visit BridgeSt.org or call 518-943-3818.
