Grab your black leather jacket, pull on your poodle skirt, and get ready to hand-jive as the award-winning Riverdale Rising Stars present GREASE, the classic rock-and-roll musical celebrating high school life in the 1950's, at the Riverdale YM-YWHA for six performances only, from March 31 to April 14, 2019.

Featuring young actors ages 12-18 and a live band, GREASE will be performed at the Riverdale YM-YWHA, located at 5625 Arlington Avenue (just off of Riverdale Avenue and West 256th Street), in Riverdale, Bronx, NY.

Advance tickets are $15 (students/seniors) and $20 (adults) and may be purchased online at www.riverdaley.org/boxoffice. Tickets will also be available at the door. All seats are reserved.

Featuring classic songs like "Summer Nights," "We Go Together," "Greased Lightning," "Beauty School Dropout," and many more, GREASE features music, lyrics, and book by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey. The original Broadway production opened in 1972, eventually logging 3,388 performances and becoming the longest-running show in Broadway history up to that time. The musical spawned an iconic, record-breaking film adaptation starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John, in addition to two successful Broadway revivals, an award-winning television adaptation, and countless productions around the world.

The Riverdale Rising Stars production of GREASE is directed and choreographed by Riverdale YM-YWHA Director of Performing Arts Laurie Walton. Music direction is by Bob Walton, and the design team includes Steve Loftus (Set Design), Arianne DeCerb (Scenic Painting), Penelope Margeotes (Costumes), Shira Harris (Lighting), and Denise Eberly (Sound)
