Photo Flash: Female Director Shows her Movie BRUNO at the New Filmmakers on Thursday
Bruno (Bruno Bremer) grows up in a dysfunctional family and is struggling while falling in love with his best friend Rick (Ricco Boateng). His sister (Jolanthe Prüfer), who is also in love with Rick, and his single mother (Andrea Hintermaier) are of no help either. In fact, they make everything worse.
Bruno is a charming, 'coming of age' tale. A heartwarming story, told in a quiet and unassuming way, which only makes it all the more touching. It is an extraordinary piece of work that elevates the younger generation. With a tight script and exceptional actors, it gives voice to a talented female director Andrea Hintermaier, who also wrote and produced the movie. Definitely worth a look!
Bruno´s NY premiere is on November 23rd at the NewFilmmakers Filmfest NY at 6pm at the Anthologies Filmarchives.
