David Hyde Pierce Set for Home Made Theatre Benefit, 3/27

The Home Made Theater will celebrate its 25th anniversary on Saturday, March 27 at 7 PM with a benefit event featuring Tony Award winner David Hyde Pierce. The event will take place at Spa Little Theater in Saratoga Springs, New York.

The event will include theatrically themed fare, photobooth, and music by The Rena Graf Quartet with special guest Garland Nelson. Cocktail attire is required for the event.

There will also be a silent auction with actor and filmmaker Marcus Dean Fuller acting as auctioneer. Auction items include a BILLY ELLIOT Weekend on Broadway, Sugarbush Getaway, and a Lake Champlain Sailing Excursion for Four.

David Hyde Pierce was born in Albany, and grew up in Saratoga Springs.

In 2005, Pierce joined Tim Curry and others in the stage production SPAMALOT. In August/September 2006, he starred in CURTAINS as Lieutenant Frank Cioffi, a new Kander and Ebb musical at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles, which transferred to Broadway in March 2007. On June 10, 2007 Pierce won the Tony Award for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical at the 61st Tony Awards for his role in CURTAINS.

Pierce has also appeared in the Manhattan Theatre Club's 2009 revival of ACCENT ON YOUTH, A WONDERFUL LIFE Benefit Concert, and the Stephen Sondheim Tribute Benefit CHILDREN AND ART.
Pierce is best known for his Emmy Award-winning portrayal of Nile Crane on the TV series "Frasier." This summer in London, Pierce will appear in a revival of David Hirson's LA BETE. The production is scheduled to transfer to Broadway in the fall.
