Playhouse Plamakers

Playhouse Playmakers is a devised-theatre program for middle school students (grades 6-8) at Westport Country Playhouse. Over a fall session of Sunday afternoon meetings, participants learn the fundamentals of playwriting, producing and acting as they write, revise and rehearse an original play they originate together as a group. The program is designed to teach the process of building a play while giving young artists space to develop as theatre makers, and it concludes with a performance on the Playhouse stage for friends and family. The 2026 fall session meets Sundays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., October 11 through November 22. Playhouse Playmakers is generously supported by the Rhimes Foundation.
