YMCA Camp Burgess & Hayward

Established in 1928, YMCA Camp Burgess & Hayward is operated by the South Shore YMCA on more than 300 acres of forests, meadows and freshwater ponds in Sandwich, Massachusetts, on Cape Cod about an hour south of Boston. Camp Burgess for boys and Camp Hayward for girls are traditional brother-sister overnight camps situated on opposite shores of Spectacle Pond, serving boys and girls ages 7 to 16 in one- and two-week sessions. Most meals and activities are single-camp, with co-ed special events during each session plus a dedicated Co-Ed Week. Activities include sports, waterfront programs, performing and creative arts, nature and outdoors and the Burgess Farm. The camp also runs a CIT program and a slate of multi-day Adventure Trips, and is accredited by the American Camp Association.
