VTC Summerstock Sleepaway Intensive

DREAM Summerstock VTC Intensive is a two-week sleepaway musical theatre program in Elmer, New Jersey for serious performers ages 12 to 19, run by Vanguard Theater Company of Montclair. The 2026 session runs August 2-16 at a tuition of $2,995, with payment plans starting at $375 per month and tuition assistance available by application. Campers are immersed in vocal training, acting technique, dance instruction, and backstage arts led by professional actors, directors, and master instructors, and take workshops in songwriting, Shakespearean performance, musical theatre dance, character analysis, belting, and college preparation. Rehearsals culminate in fully produced shows performed the last weekend. Outdoor activities include swimming, hiking, tennis, volleyball, and gaga, with campfires and evening social events. Guidance counseling staff support campers throughout.

Audition and registration required via the camper application; enrollment first-come, first-served. Campers rehearse and perform fully produced shows on the final weekend. Alternate payment plans arranged through registrar@dreamvtc.org.
