Summer Childrens Theatre Workshop

Miami Children's Theater runs award-winning summer Creative Camps that are now in their 29th year. Each four-week session has campers rehearse and produce a full-scale musical, performing it for family and friends at the end of the session; groups are divided into ages 5-8 and 9-14. Camps run 9am to 4pm at Dance Empire, 8853 SW 132nd Street in Miami, with free extended drop-off from 8:30am and pickup until 6pm, curbside arrival and dismissal, and a free afternoon snack (families provide lunch). Scholarships for Miami-Dade residents are funded by the Miami-Dade Department of Cultural Affairs and The Children's Trust, and installment payment plans are available. Outside the summer, the company presents school field-trip productions at the Robert Russell Theater at the Alper JCC, 11155 SW 112th Avenue.

Two four-week sessions, each split into age groups 5-8 and 9-14. Camp hours are 9am to 4pm with free early drop-off from 8:30am and late pickup until 6pm. Parents provide lunch (12:00-12:45pm); refrigerators, microwaves and a free afternoon snack are provided. Curbside drop-off and pickup are offered. A limited number of summer camp scholarships for Miami-Dade residents is funded by the Miami-Dade Department of Cultural Affairs and The Children's Trust; installment plans are available.
