School of Rock The Woodlands

School of Rock The Woodlands is a performance-based music school located on FM 2978 near Woodlands Parkway. Instruction pairs a weekly private lesson with a weekly group band rehearsal. Rookies (ages 6-7) introduces children with no prior experience to chords, rhythm and song structure; Rock 101 (ages 8-13) builds basic competence on a chosen instrument; and the Performance Program (ages 8-18) assigns songs and parts by age and ability, leading to live shows at area venues. A Songwriting program runs from age 12 and an Adult Program from age 18. Guitar, bass, drums, keyboard and vocal lessons are taught at beginner through advanced levels by working Houston musicians. The school promotes discounted summer music camps and open weekday afternoons plus Saturday mornings.
