Theatre summer camp in Farmingdale, NY
School of Rock Farmingdale sits on the corner of Smith Street and Wellwood Avenue and serves the Farmingdale area of Long Island. Its performance-based approach pairs one weekly private lesson with one weekly group band rehearsal. Little Wing introduces ages 4-5 to rhythm and song structure through play; Rookies covers ages 6-7; Rock 101 (ages 8-13) teaches beginners using simplified classic rock songs; and the Performance Program (ages 8-18) assigns tailored songs and parts, with student bands playing local venues and community events. Songwriting is offered from age 12, and an Adult Program serves students 18 and over. Instruction covers guitar, bass, drums, keyboard/piano, vocals and saxophone. Students may audition for the House Band or the national AllStars summer tour.
