School of Rock Dallas

School of Rock Dallas teaches guitar, bass, drums, keyboard and vocals from a location on East Mockingbird Lane, using a performance-based curriculum that combines a weekly private lesson with a weekly group band rehearsal. Rookies (ages 6-7) introduces children with no experience to chords, rhythm and song structure; Rock 101 (ages 8-13) builds basic competence on a chosen instrument; and the Performance Program (ages 8-18) puts students in bands that rehearse assigned songs and perform at Dallas venues every few months. Songwriting is offered from age 12 and an Adult Program from age 18. The school also runs summer camps and an audition-based House Band. Instructors include touring and session musicians as well as former School of Rock students.
