Scatico

Camp Scatico is a brother-sister sleepaway camp in Elizaville, New York, in the Hudson Valley roughly two hours north of New York City. It has been under single-family ownership since 1921. The camp enrolls about 270 campers each summer, divided evenly between a boys' side and a girls' side, with 15 to 22 campers in each age group, on a 275-acre campus bordering a three-mile spring-fed lake. The main program is a seven-week season, with one-week and four-week options available for first-time campers. Days are built around four core program areas: landsports, watersports, creative arts and outdoor adventure. The camp reports roughly 125 program staff, a 3:1 camper-to-staff ratio, an 80% staff return rate and a 95% camper return rate, with campers from more than 15 countries each summer. Scatico is ACA accredited and also rents its site to outside groups.
