Return to the Forbidden Planet Intensive

The Carrollwood Cultural Center's Teen Arts Intensive for ages 14-16 offers two four-week summer sessions in which students audition, rehearse, design, tech and perform a well-known play or musical under professional instruction. The Return to the Forbidden Planet intensive, most recently offered July 7-August 1, had students stretch their musical theatre skills through dance, voice and acting toward a one-act performance of favorites from Bob Carlton's jukebox musical. Days run 9 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. with rehearsal blocks in theatre, art, music and dance, plus optional early care and after care. Each session ends with a public performance on its fourth Thursday. Tuition is $700 for members and $735 for non-members, with a two-payment plan available.
