About this camp
Raquette Lake Camps, established in 1916, is one of the oldest full-summer brother/sister sleepaway camps in America, located on Raquette Lake in the Adirondacks of upstate New York. The family-owned camps serve boys and girls ages 6 to 15 in separate but connected programs. The main offering is a seven-week full summer, with a four-week half-summer option available on request. Activities span traditional sports, waterfront programs including waterskiing, wilderness camping trips, a high ropes course and arts. The camps emphasize a safe environment where children form lasting friendships and build confidence; a large share of campers return year after year, and many are second, third or fourth generation. Raquette Lake is American Camp Association accredited and a member of NYSCDA.
Raquette Lake operates separate but adjacent brother and sister camps. New families are met in person, by video chat or during a camp tour before enrollment.
