North Country Camps

North Country Camps comprises two Adirondack overnight camps in Keeseville, New York: Camp Lincoln for boys and Camp Whippoorwill for girls. Run by the Gucker family for generations, the camps offer a screen-free program that blends real wilderness adventure with athletic, creative and social skill development and a strong community spirit. Each camp is divided into three housing areas, with the youngest campers in cabin groups of three or four, Juniors in groups of five or six and Seniors in groups of six or seven, and a counselor living with every cabin group. The 2026 season runs from June 28 to August 18, with full-season, five-week and three-week introductory session options. Horseback riding, weekly laundry, and hiking and canoeing trips out of camp are included in the fee.

A $500 deposit is required at registration, refundable until March 1, with the balance due June 1. The fee includes camp store purchases and one camp t-shirt; there is no camp uniform and no extra charge for horseback riding, weekly laundry, or hiking and canoeing trips. Sibling discount of $800 per full-season camper and $400 per five-week camper for families sending three or more children. Chaperoned bus service is available for an extra charge, and campers can be met at Burlington VT, Albany NY, or Montreal airports for a fee, or Plattsburgh NY for free. The Gucker Campership Fund provides financial aid.
