Musical Theater Summer Camp at Compass Rose Theater!

This one-week musical theater day camp from Compass Rose Theater runs at Maryland Hall in Annapolis, Maryland, for children ages 5 to 12. Training covers the singing and acting skills needed to perform in musicals: vocal and physical warm-ups, vocal technique and song interpretation, character and scene work, and audition preparation, with a focus on contemporary and pop musical theater repertoire. Emphasis falls on stage presence, giving and receiving feedback, self-reflection and collaboration, fostering well-rounded performers who appreciate the collaborative nature of theater. The week closes with a presentation for family and friends. Sessions meet Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 4:00pm, in Room 301, capped at 15 students with a minimum of 5.
