About this camp
The Midlothian Family YMCA is one of sixteen branches of the YMCA of Greater Richmond, which has served the Richmond region since 1854. The branch offers a summer day camp program, Summer Explorers, along with year-round childcare, preschool, youth sports, aquatics and family programming. Day campers take part in arts and crafts, environmental studies, cooperative group games, field trips and guest speakers, with daily water park activities when weather permits. The association also runs early-childhood camps for its youngest participants and the overnight YMCA Camp Thunderbird. Financial assistance and income-based membership options are available, and membership provides access to all sixteen Richmond-area locations.
