About this camp

MacKenzie Camp is a summer camp and retreat centre on Mabel Lake, about 35 km east of Enderby, British Columbia, operated by the MacKenzie Camp Society, a registered charity affiliated with the United Church of Canada. It has served children and youth of the Shuswap and Okanagan since 1947 and welcomes campers regardless of denomination. The 2026 season offered nine week-long overnight sessions for ages 7 to 17, including Leadership Training, Intermediate, Junior-Intermediate, Fly Fishing, Teen, and a Performing & Visual Arts Camp (PAVA) in which campers explore theatre performance, music, visual art and writing and collaborate on an end-of-week production. Daily life includes swimming at the lakefront, canoe and kayak outings, archery, a low ropes course, crafts, hikes, wide games, campfire singing and a vespers circle, with three meals and two snacks provided.

Nine 2026 sessions for ages 7-17. Check-in 2 pm on the first day, departure 2-3 pm on the last day. Drop-off/pick-up has moved to Mabel Lake Farms on Kingfisher Road. Session capacities range from 12 (PAVA) to 35 (Teen Camp).
