Kids Cabaret at New School of Music

The New School of Music is a community music school in Cambridge, Massachusetts offering lessons, classes and ensembles for all ages and levels. Its Kids' Cabaret summer program serves young singer-actors ages 7-12 over three weeks, meeting Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Campers write and perform their own musical theatre production, learning staging, script writing, dancing, acting and singing while building teamwork and collaboration skills. Musical theatre and pop repertoire is used to develop ear training, musical literacy and vocal production, supported by improvisation games and movement activities. The session ends with a performance of the original musical for family and friends. Before-care and after-care are available at additional cost. NSM also runs a one-week Kids' Cabaret during April vacation and MusicQuest, an introduction-to-instruments camp for ages 5-9.

Monday-Friday, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. Before-care 8:30-9:00 am and after-care 4:00-5:30 pm available for an additional cost. Session culminates in a performance of an original musical for family and friends.
