About this camp
Keystone Camp is an overnight camp for girls in Brevard, North Carolina, in the Blue Ridge Mountains near Pisgah National Forest. Founded in 1916, it has operated for more than a century with the aim of teaching life-long skills and values in a fun and nurturing environment. Campers build their own schedules from a wide range of activities including daily horseback riding and horsemanship, tennis and badminton, team sports, swimming, canoeing and kayaking, gymnastics and cheer, dance, drama, rock climbing, high ropes, ziplining, archery, riflery, arts and crafts, ceramics, textiles, jewelry making, ukulele, a cappella and yoga, plus out-of-camp trips. Sessions for 2027 range from six-day Key Camp sessions for kindergarten through 2nd grade to a four-week July session for 3rd through 9th grades, and the camp also runs Mother-Daughter Weekends in May.
Sessions are grouped by grade level for the 2026/2027 school year: Key Camp sessions serve K-2nd grades, mini sessions 2nd-6th grades, and the longer June/July/August sessions 2nd-9th grades. $1,000 deposit at application ($400 for Key Camp); 10% tuition reduction for two or more sisters. Registration for 2027 opens August 17, 2026.
