Improvisation Summer Camp at Compass Rose Theater!

Improvisation and Acting is a one-week day camp at Compass Rose Theater in Annapolis, Maryland, running the week of August 3, 2026 for ages 10 and up, Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Improvisation is treated as a team sport: campers use it to create characters and build relationships for the stage, take creative risks in a supportive group, and develop confidence and presence as performers. The week also includes more in-depth work on staying in the moment and responding truthfully to scene partners. Compass Rose Theater is a nonprofit professional teaching theater company founded in 2011 that offers a full slate of separately registered one-week summer camps as well as fall and winter/spring classes; families are invited to email the office about scholarships.
