Childsplay Summer Academy

Childsplay is a professional theatre company for young audiences founded in 1977 and based in Tempe, Arizona. Its Academy offers theatre classes, camps and programs for ages 4-18, all taught by professional theatre artists, with courses grouped by age band: 4-6, 6-9, 9-13 and teen programs. Offerings include acting, musical theatre, improv, vocal technique, sketch comedy, playwriting, costume and makeup design, and full production classes built on titles such as Buddy: The Elf Musical, Frozen Fables and Into the Worlds. Week-long summer camps run through July, alongside school-break camps at fall, winter and spring break. Additional programs include the CAST teen show choir, a conservatory, the YETi teen theatre company, one-on-one coaching, teen internships and apprenticeships, and scholarships.
