About this camp
Camp Walden is an ACA-accredited coed overnight camp on more than 100 acres in the southern Adirondack Mountains at Diamond Point, New York, about five miles from Lake George. The program spans athletics, waterfront activities, adventure, and arts, with seven activity periods a day mixing assigned group activities with electives and choice periods that widen as campers get older. Boys and girls take activities separately during the day and come together for meals, evening programs, and special events. Campers reach the waterfront at least twice daily, and those in grades 2-6 receive swim instruction three times a week. Older campers can join the Teen Program, which adds multi-day trips, or the full-summer Counselor-in-Training program. Campers live in renovated cabins, and the camp is peanut and tree nut free.
Winter office: 180 Old Tappan Road, Building 4, 2nd Floor, Old Tappan, NJ 07675, 201-750-6767. Tuition includes canteen, laundry, local trips, health center visits, lice screening, and bus transportation from White Plains, Cherry Hill, Paramus, Montreal and Albany Airport, plus CampMinder and the Campanion app. Early enrollment, sibling and referral credits offered. Deposit is $3,500. ACA accredited. Teen Program for campers who have completed 9th grade; CIT Program (full summer only) for those who have completed 10th grade.
