About this camp
Camp Ramapo is a residential summer camp on Ramapo for Children's 240-acre campus in Rhinebeck, New York, serving young people ages 6 to 16 who are affected by social, emotional or learning challenges, including those on the autism spectrum. The camp brings together a diverse mix of children and young adults with a broad range of cognitive, social and emotional abilities in a setting intended to promote independence and self-confidence, teach social skills and give campers friendship and fun. Camp Ramapo maintains a nearly one-to-one staff-to-camper ratio, and counselors are emerging professionals in special education, social work, psychology and related fields who receive the same training Ramapo delivers to schools nationwide. Sessions range from one to eight weeks and run from late June through late August, with a final one-week session reserved for older campers. Ramapo for Children is ACA accredited and licensed by the Dutchess County Department of Health.
Session 4 is reserved for campers ages 16-30. Some scholarship assistance is available based on family income and need.
