Adventures in Filmmaking

Adventures in Filmmaking is one of three Youth Arts Intensive sessions offered each summer by the Carrollwood Cultural Center in Tampa, Florida, for students ages 11-13. The 2026 edition, subtitled Silent Film, runs June 22 through July 10 (no camp July 2 and 3) and ends with a film premiere on Thursday, July 9 at 5:30 p.m. Campers are introduced to film genres, storyboard their ideas, and then write, direct, act in and produce a short filmed vignette as an ensemble, working alongside film professionals. The daily schedule runs from 9:15 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. with snack, lunch and recess breaks, plus optional early care and after care. Tuition for this session is $468 for members and $494 for non-members, and families may register by mail, email, online, phone or in person.
