Rita Litton: Summer One-Week Acting Intensives

Rita Litton Studio runs one-week summer acting intensives in New York City and online for focused actors. Each week has a distinct focus and does not repeat exercises or assigned scenes, so students may enroll in one week or several. Foundations of Acting concentrates on actor tools, objectives, movement, voice and improvisation, drawing on the teachings of Sanford Meisner and aimed at beginning and intermediate actors. On-Camera Film Acting covers script analysis, characterization, scene study and auditioning, with roles drawn from the studio's film and television library and classroom scenes reviewed for individual critique. Intensives meet Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Registration is by application with photo, resume and optional monologue video.

Intensives meet Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM with a one-hour lunch break; students attend all five days. Weeks A and C are held virtually via Zoom; Week B meets live at a midtown west studio in New York City.
