Tim Realbuto and Cast of THE WRONG BOX Heads to The Duplex for Benefit Concert
The cast of THE WRONG BOX is digging up tunes and mayhem in a fundraising event tonight at The Duplex for the NYC premiere of the dark musical comedy by award-winning composer/lyricist/playwright Kit Goldstein Grant. The evening is entitled OUT OF THE BOX, and begins at 7:00 PM.
Featured performers at tonight's show will include Tim Realbuto*, the star of the upcoming major motion picture YES, as well as Christopher Michaels (Disney's BEAUTY AND THE BEAST), James Beaman* (First National Tour of SPAMALOT), Nate Rocke (ENDANGERED! THE MUSICAL), Thomas M. Conroy* (END OF THE RAINBOW), Jianzi Colón-Soto (LYSISTRATA JONES), Simon Schaitkin ("THE MARVELOUS MRS. MAISEL"), and Joe Veale* (PETER AND THE STARCATCHER).
Award winning composer, pianist, and conductor Justin Ward Weber will serve as music director for this evening's cabaret, as well as play the piano.
Mr. Weber was most recently the Music Assistant for NBC's JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR LIVE starring John Legend, Brandon Victor Dixon, and Sara Bareilles.
The rest of THE WRONG BOX company (who may or may not make an appearance tonight) include Dennis Holland* (Broadway's THE MUSIC MAN opposite Dick Van Dyke), Brian Kilday* (MOBY DICK: THE MUSICAL), Robin Lounsbury* (National Tour of THE SOUND OF MUSIC), Brandon Shockey (THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE), Tristan J. Shuler* (Off-Broadway's SPAMILTON and CRUEL INTENTIONS), and James Stafford* (WONDERLAND at The Atlantic Theatre Company).
All proceeds go toward production costs of THE WRONG BOX.
THE WRONG BOX is a dark musical comedy by Kit Goldstein Grant, based on a novel by Robert Louis Stevenson and Lloyd Osbourne. Performances begins September 1st and run until the 16th at Theatre For The New City; Crystal Fields, Artistic Director. Michael Chase Gosselin directs and choreographs the cast of fourteen.
