Viktoria Tocca Comes to the Metropolitan Room Tonight

By:

Award winning Swedish singer/songwriter Viktoria Tocca (www.ViktoriaTocca.com), who has performed around the world to rave reviews, will make her first 2015 club appearance in New York City at The Metropolitan Room (34 West 22nd Street), tonight, February 7 at 9:30 PM. She will be accompanied by her band, led by the incredible Jon Cobert.

One of the most critically acclaimed venues in NYC, The Metropolitan Room is known as the "Home" for big name talents and rising stars. This will be Viktoria's first appearance in New York this year following her success at Lucille's (BB King's) at the end of 2014. There is a two-drink minimum and a $22.50 music charge. For reservations: Tel: 212-206-0449; www.metropolitanroom.com.

Acclaimed as having one of the most beautiful soprano voices of the generation, Viktoria Tocca brings her talent to as wide an audience as possible; playing the lead role of Christine in Phantom of the Opera for two years, winning five awards at the 2013 Indie Music Channel Awards in Los Angeles, and nine awards at the 2012 IMCAs, including the prestigious Artist of the Year Award. Her award for Best Classical at the Hollywood Music In Media Awards for her single Dark Waltz, two years ago, was followed last year by her winning the award for Best Contemporary for her first U.S. written and produced single We're Still Young. The single also reached #3 on the Billboard Hot Single Sales Chart.

Born and raised in Stockholm, she now divides her time between Sweden and New York. She began her music studies in Stockholm at the age of ten when she was enrolled at the Adolph Fredrik School of Music and later attended The Ballet Academy in Gothenburg where she graduated the musical theatre program. Following her first role as Rapunzel in Stephen Sondheim's Into The Woods, Viktoria won her first role abroad as Sissi, Empress of Austria in the world premiere of the musical Ludwig II in Germany in 2000.

After rave reviews and hundreds of performances, she was chosen to play the lead role, Christine, in Andrew Lloyd Weber's Phantom of the Opera in Copenhagen, Denmark. It was a huge success and she played the role, performing and singing in Danish, for more than 200 performances without a break. Viktoria is stunning the world of music. In just one year in the USA, she has written and recorded hit songs, won major awards, made acclaimed live performances in the USA and appeared in her first feature film.

Join Viktoria's rapidly growing number of fans and followers in the USA. Once you have seen her perform you will realize what you have been missing in true professionalism and vocal excellence.
