The Creators Of WONDERSHOW Announce MAGIC HOUR At The Triad Theater In the 1980's Elizabeth Taylor, Liza Minnelli, Jack Nicholson, Robert DeNiro and many other well known actors would use the Theater for their own weekly private performances. And more recently, the Triad has welcomed stars like Martin Short, Kristen Wiig, Ryan Reynolds and Kevin Hart. Lady Gaga even made her professional debut there as part of the Circle in the Square Cabaret Program.

But on Wednesday May 23rd, New York audiences will experience a whole new level of this celebrated Off-Broadway playhouse, when The Magic Castle's ANDREW GOLDENHERSH presents his award-winning (and mind-blowing) one-man show. Produced by Patrick Terry, MAGIC HOUR will feature an interactive headlining performance from Goldenhersh, followed by an in-depth interview on stage where he will discuss his inspirations and influences before taking questions from the crowd.

A perennial honoree at Hollywood's legendary Magic Castle, Mr. Goldenhersh has received several accolades from the prestigious Academy of Magical Arts and he is the only magician to have been nominated for both Close-up Magician of the Year and Parlour Magician of the Year for twelve years in a row.

But his art transcends the boundaries of traditional hocus pocus.

While profiling Mr. Goldenhersh for an interview in Magic Magazine, journalist Mark Nelson observed that "Most of today's audiences experience magic by watching television, where bigger is thought to be better and every act concludes with a pyrotechnic explosion. But Andrew manages to refocus people and reeducate them to create an appreciation of quiet, focused moments. Between laughs and applause, his audiences are often amazingly quiet, except for the occasional gasp. It says a lot about the power of his magic."

With this approach to his craft, Goldenhersh has been referred to as a "Minimalist Magician" because his goal is to achieve something more subtle in each performance. "Many Years ago, I had a profound realization at a show. I found that I was most effective when I was able to forget that I was there in the role of an entertainer. I was a human being, a special guest at this party, really talking to people. And then blowing their minds."

In addition to being beloved by audiences across the world, Andrew is also held in high esteem by his peers in entertainment, including Las Vegas superstar Lance Burton (who calls him a "genius") and the legendary David Copperfield (who licensed and performs one of Andrew's signature routines).
