Now in its 5th Year at UNDER St. Marks, the Ten-Foot Rat Cabaret features an inspired, curated monthly roster of thrilling music, smart comedy, amazing dance, clever storytelling, sexy burlesque, art and theatrical vaudeville spectacle. That's why it's been called the show that "altered the soul of variety in Old Gotham." Both polished and raw, it's the best of art and entertainment in a classic NYC venue.

Hosted by comedian/storyteller Jillian Thomas (MTV Live, The Toronto Show, The Buzz, Listen Missy, Much Music's Love Court), Ten-Foot Rat Cabaret presents talent from New York City and around the world, taking the stage at the legendary UNDER St. Marks in the heart of the East Village for this monthly event. A slice of NYC music, comedy, dance and nightlife - a night out like no other.

You'll be wowed by the Rat's special resident dancers, The Fishnet Follies. The Follies, a "boutique act" created specially for the Rat, comprises members of the acclaimed international Guilty Pleasures Cabaret dance troupe. They'll bring their dazzle, costumery, Tap, Frug, "circus" contortion, and acclaimed Light Show to the Rat every month. See why they've floored Off-Broadway theaters including Feinstein's/54 Below and the Triad, and electrified resorts from Belize to Beijing!

The Rat would not be complete without our Artist-in-Residence, the funny, brilliant, and strange Bill Chambers. Expect the unexpected: a morbidly funny tale of Gotham apartment hunting and funeral guilt, animating a dead Teddy Ruxpin a la Mary Shelly, arranging a special appearance by "Henry Rollins" or "Neil Diamond," or reenacting excerpts of Hollywood scripts like the "The Karate Kid," to hilarious effect. He's seen in the FRIGID Festival, Canuck Cabaret, and punk-rock/hardcore shows all across Eastern Europe.

Another monthly feature: Continental kitsch and dark "German" nightclub humor with Gregory Levine as "Gregor of Berlin." Suave, sinister, witty and sarcastic, Herr Gregor will regale the audience with horrid tales of warped Teutonic childhood, decadence, morphine, prostitution, and of course, life in European show biz (seen in the Capital Fringe, FRIGID Festival, Travel Channel, The Duplex and Guinness Book of World Records).

Ten-Foot Rat Cabaret plays at UNDER St. Marks (94 St. Marks Place between 1st Avenue and Avenue A) on the Second Saturday of every month. Visit www.tenfootrat.com for the latest show information. Tickets ($10) are available for advance purchase at www.FRIGIDnewyork.info or at the box office before the show. In-theater bar serves craft beers, wine, Japanese sake, hard cider and soft drinks. Must be age 21+ with ID to drink / 17+ or accompanied by guardian to attend the show.

FRIGID New York @ Horse Trade is a theater development group with a focus on new work that produces a massive quantity of stimulating downtown theater every season. FRIGID's Resident Artist Program offers a home to a select group of Independent theater artists, pooling together a great deal of talent and energy. FRIGID New York grew out of the annual FRIGID Festival, the first and only festival of its kind in New York City to offer artists 100% of their box office proceeds, and Horse Trade Theater Group, a self-sustaining theater development and management group.
